5 Reasons To Schedule A Reiki Session

Reiki is the Japanese art of energy healing. Sessions are typically done lying down or sitting, but unlike massage, there is no need to take off your clothing. The practitioner uses their hands to guide energy around your body in order to release energy blocks, but they almost never physically touch you. The practice can help with a variety of personal issues.

1. High Stress

Stress is one of the more popular reasons to seek out Reiki healing. The energy-managing movements of a skilled practitioner are meant to trigger feelings of relaxation. This can help stress and many of the side effects, such as anxiety and headaches, to melt away. Regular sessions can help permanently reduce your stress levels.

2. Low Mood

Feeling a bit down or under the weather? Then Reiki may provide some relief. A low mood can lead to depression, anxiety, and lack of energy in your daily life. Reiki works to improve the flow of energy. Your practitioner will skillfully guide the energy flows through and around you, while also clearing any blocks that are contributing to the low mood. It's not uncommon to leave a session feeling calm, peaceful, and somewhat energized.

Reiki is considered a healing art, using energy as the main tool to achieve healing. A session with your practitioner is a relaxing time, which in itself can foster better sleep. Further, attending to the energy flows throughout your body and systems can also help bring deeper, more healing sleep at night.
